Description
[A 6-Wheeled Light Truck That Supported the German Army in the Early War]
The Krupp Protze was a 6-wheeled truck used by the German military for a wide range of purposes during the first half of World War II, including transporting troops and supplies and towing light artillery.
Powered by a compact, air-cooled, horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engine, it featured a low, high-visibility hood and independent double-wishbone rear suspension, providing excellent off-road capability.
The Kfz.70 troop carrier, in particular, featured a rear cargo bed with a bench seat.
Produced from around 1933, before the outbreak of war, until 1942, it was deployed to various units.
