Description
Original color series tailored for the Mechatro WeGo
This is an original color that was custom-mixed by the creator, Kazushi Kobayashi, specifically for Mechatro WeGo. We will develop it as a paint that will further expand the world of Mechatro WeGo.
Spec: It is a light blue with a whitish tint.

Mechatro WeGo is an original robot designed by Kazushi Kobayashi that first appeared as a 1/20 scale garage kit at Wonder Festival in February 2012. Its cute and versatile design has made it popular, and it has since been released as a finished figure and plastic model.
Kazushi Kobayashi (Kobayashi Kazushi)
Made his debut as a writer for the monthly magazine Hobby Japan while attending vocational school, where he wrote articles on the production of character plastic models. He then worked for a company that produced special effects miniatures such as Godzilla, but moved to a 3DCG video production company to keep up with the times. After going freelance in 2000, he began working on commercial prototypes for toys and other products, and 3DCG for video, both at the same time, a position he continues to pursue to this day. In recent years, he has been in charge of 3DCG modeling for Evangelion and other characters in "Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo." In 2006, he started his original project, "Mechatronics Central." He continues to present and sell his works at Wonder Festival.

WG-01: Gloss Light Green
This is a reproduction of the color I painted on the first 1/20 WeGo I built in 2011.
It's a memorable color in a way. Blue? Green? Which one? I hope you enjoy the subtle hue.

WG-02: Gloss Light Blue
I added more white to the existing beautiful light blue (similar to Gulf Blue) to emphasize its paleness. I always wanted a whiter light blue, but now I have this and I can rest easy. I think it's a color that goes well with retro cars.

WG-03: Gloss Ivory
I created a color with a strong yellow tone that doesn't look white at first glance, yet is not cloudy. There are many different nuances of white on the market, but I think this is a color that is not often seen on the market.

WG-04: Gloss Light Orange
I made a difficult request: "A whiter color, but with good color development!" Even if you add white to commercially available orange, it's difficult to maintain the color's vibrant quality, but this product has a pale hue, yet still has a very beautiful color.

This is a painting example using the first batch of WeGo paints.
Plastic model used: Hasegawa Creator Works Series 20 Mechatro WeGo 1/20 scale plastic model.

Kazushi Kobayashi, the original creator of Mechatro WeGo and the supervisor of the Mechatro WeGo colors, has provided us with comments on each color in the first wave of WeGo colors.

"Mechatro WeGo" is popular with a wide range of people and is currently available as a plastic model kit. This is the completely original "Mechatro WeGo Color" series supervised by Kazushi Kobayashi, the creator of Mechatro WeGo. The second series features a wide variety of colors in the lineup.

WG-05: Gloss Pink
Although it's a feminine color, pink is also used on some luxury cars. It's a beautiful color that maintains its saturation. It's also great for adding a touch of flair.

WG-06: Gloss Lemon
Many commercially available yellows have a reddish tint, but this one is a little cooler in tone. It has a refreshing lemon-like color.

WG-07: Gloss Ash
There are many different shades of gray available, but this one has a slight reddish tint, giving it the dull yet familiar gray you'd find in office supplies or cars from the 1960s and 1970s.

WG-08: Gloss Maroon
This is the darkest of the WeGo colors, and exudes a sense of luxury. In the past, sports cars were also painted this color. Why not try creating a WeGo with a more sophisticated feel? Perhaps it could also be used for model trains?
