[Challenging the Works Machines with Unique Ideas]
The Porsche 935 was developed to dominate the Group 5 World Championship for Manufacturers, which began in 1976, and went on to win the championship that same year.
The following year, in 1977, it was also made available to leading private teams, dominating races alongside the works machines.
Kremer Racing, primarily sponsored by Vaillant, a German manufacturer specializing in air conditioning and water heaters, featured a uniquely modified body and an air-cooled, horizontally opposed, six-cylinder turbo engine producing 670 horsepower.
The car featured Vaillant's vibrant cobalt green corporate color and the company's rabbit mascot logo on various parts.
In July of that year, the car beat the works machines to victory in the eighth round of the World Championship for Manufacturers, the Hockenheim 6 Hours.
It also achieved great success, winning four races in the DRM (Deutsche Räumen Championship) held in Germany.
It attracted attention as one of the best 935s driven by privateers.
