In 2003, Kawasaki returned to the premier class of the World Road Racing Championship with a works team for the first time in 20 years.

The ZX-RR, Kawasaki's first GP machine equipped with a four-stroke engine, struggled in 2003, but the following year, with the addition of Shinya Nakano, it made rapid progress.

The 2006 model, equipped with a cowl design with an eye on 2007 and a newly designed 990cc inline-four engine that adopted a unique unequal firing interval, was ridden by Shinya Nakano and Randy de Puniet. Nakano fought for pole position until the end of qualifying in the fifth round, the French GP, and took second place in the eighth round, the Dutch GP, demonstrating his potential to compete for the top spot.

The Kawasaki Ninja was one of the machines to watch in MotoGP in 2006.

This is a 1/12 scale plastic model assembly kit of the ZX-RR.

● The sharp, edgy form has been realistically reproduced. The cowling can be attached using tiny screws and removed even after completion.

● The in-line 4-cylinder 990cc engine is also a satisfying build.

● The rear suspension unit is fixed to the main frame with nuts, just like the real thing. Wrench parts are also provided.

● The front and rear racing slick tires are made from solid rubber for a realistic feel.

● The decals are high-quality, made by Cartograf. In addition to the distinctive fish scale pattern graphics, two types of bib numbers, No. 56 and No. 17, are available.
