Description
[The energetic "Tallboy" turbo model]
Honda's FF compact car, City, which was released in October 1981, quickly became popular for its tall style called "Tallboy".
The City Turbo was added to the lineup in September 1982.
It was equipped with a 1.2-liter inline 4-cylinder turbo engine that produced 100 horsepower, and the body was dressed up with exterior parts such as a power bulge on the bonnet and a large air dam bumper with fog lights embedded in it.
The hot ride from the world's smallest turbo engine at the time and its unique and distinctive form made it very popular, especially among the younger generation.
The Motocompo was also released as a moped at the same time as the City.
This ultra-compact bike, equipped with a 2.5 horsepower 2-stroke 50cc single-cylinder engine, can be loaded into the trunk of the City by folding the handlebars, seat, and footrests.
It was sold as a "trunk bike" and is still known as an inseparable part of the City.
