Description

[Africa Twin Tradition Meets Advanced Technology]

The Dakar Rally is known as the world's most grueling motorsport. While Honda was racking up victories in the two-wheel category in the late 1980s, it released the XRV650, a replica of its factory NXR750, in 1988.

This bike, the first to be nicknamed the Africa Twin, attracted significant attention, especially in Europe, as a big bike with a strong off-road feel, and helped create a new category: adventure tourers.

While sales in Japan were discontinued after the August 2000 model, its enduring popularity has continued unabated, and in 2015, a new Africa Twin, the CRF1000L, debuted.

It features a semi-double cradle frame and a 998cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, in-line twin engine producing 92 horsepower (Japan domestic model).

Its styling, with its large fuel tank, dual headlights, and off-road-oriented 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tires, retains the Africa Twin tradition.

Additionally, a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) model was introduced, eliminating the need for clutch operation, resulting in a highly versatile and highly maneuverable bike.

It also features electronic devices such as a G (Gravel Mode) switch and selectable torque control to support the rider during off-road riding.

Based on the "Go Anywhere" concept, this bike has gained immense popularity worldwide as a bike that can be enjoyed for comfortable long-distance touring in a wide range of situations, from on-road to off-road.
