Description

[A pinnacle machine that brings together racing technology]

The FZR750R, released in March 1989, is said to be a pure replica of Yamaha's four-stroke works machine, the YZF750.

Developed with racing in mind, the FZR750R's compact, high-revving, five-valve, 750cc inline-four engine featured titanium connecting rods, larger intake and exhaust ports, and the exhaust's EXUP system for improved exhaust efficiency, all of which contributed to its high output.

The frame and swingarm were made of aluminum Deltabox, and the rear was fitted with a racing-grade suspension, including an Öhlins shock unit, highly acclaimed in racing.

Furthermore, the fairing, which has the same shape as the YZF, was made from expensive FRP, making it a highly-rated machine packed with high-quality, high-performance equipment.

Sold as a limited production model of 1,000 units worldwide, it became the envy of many motorcycle enthusiasts.
