Reincarnation Racing Miku 2013 Version – Easy Makeup Tutorial!

We’re showcasing products from the Mr. Hobby brand that make it easy for even complete beginners - with no prior painting experience - to customize the "Reincarnation Racing Miku Year 2013 Version." model kit, set for release by Good Smile Company in April 2026!

1) Accent Painting Guide

In this video, I’ll show you an easy way to paint parts that aren’t color-separated in the original molding—using simple markers.

For this demonstration, I’ll be painting the tips of the skirt sections—which are molded in clear plastic—with a silver finish.

I’ll also cover some tips and techniques specifically for working with clear parts.

2) Makeup Section

In this video, I will demonstrate how to add a realistic touch to your model kit by applying cosmetic-style pastels to the skin areas to introduce a natural, reddish hue.

The product used here is "Lascivus Decor."

These are cosmetic-style pastels specifically designed for plastic model kits, formulated to adhere easily to their surfaces.

They are also odorless, making them a great option for those who cannot use traditional model paints.

3) Top Coat Section

This video demonstrates how to vary the finish (sheen) of different parts of a model kit, which prevents the overall look from becoming monotonous and adds a greater sense of three-dimensionality.

For character models in particular, applying a matte (flat) finish to areas like skin and hair can significantly transform their appearance.
