The Kantai NEXT Series is a plastic kit that makes building ship models easier while still achieving a realistic finish.

Each part is molded in a different color, eliminating the need for painting.

The snap-fit design eliminates the need for adhesive, making this series a cut above conventional kits.

The base included with the "Shinano (信濃) NEXT" model kit, which requires no painting or glue, has been redesigned.

The Shinano (信濃) was originally built as the third ship of the Yamato-class battleships, but its plans were changed to an aircraft carrier. It was completed in November 1944 and sunk that same month by a submarine torpedo attack.

The product is designed as a snap-fit model, requiring no glue.

Major parts are represented by pre-colored plastic parts, and some color variations are reproduced with realistic stickers that offer excellent surface conformability.

□ The flight deck is a two-piece construction, divided into a concrete-covered deck section and an outer edge section, making it convenient for painting.

□ The flight deck is a slightly bluish dark gray.

□ The hull bottom part reproduces the bulge shape, which differs from that of the Yamato.

□ Two types of rudders are included: the conventional square rudder shape used on the Yamato, and the square type used on ships like the Taiho (大鳳), to accommodate the new design.

□ The kit includes aircraft such as the "Ohka" (桜花) (said to have been carried at the time), the "Shiden-kai" (紫電改) (which performed test landings), and the "Ryusei-kai" (流星改) and "Saiun" (彩雲) (which were planned to be carried).

□ The included decals allow for color representation without painting, primarily for the anti-submarine camouflage on both sides and the white lines on the flight deck.

□ For users who prefer painting, white line decals for the flight deck are also included.

□ The retractable antenna mast has a movable structure.

□ Bonus parts include "horizontal binoculars" and "machine gun ammunition boxes."

□ The display stand has been renewed! It can be flipped over and used as a parts holder during assembly.
