Acrysion Base Color is ideal for preparing a base coat before painting with Acrysion.
Its formula is designed for enhanced hiding power, dramatically improving the color development of standard Acrysion colors by applying a base color as a base color.
(For example, apply Base Red as a base coat for red-based Acrysion.)
Product Features:
- Base colors can be mixed with each other. They can also be mixed with Acrysion, allowing you to create your own custom base color.
- Higher viscosity improves brush application, allowing for quick, all-over application. For airbrush use, more dilution is required than with standard Acrysion.
- The pigments used are large, providing some scratch-filling effect, so they also function as an Acryssion surfacer.
- Taking advantage of their low-solvent properties and strong adhesive properties, they are also useful as an all-around base coat for painting ABS resin parts, which are easily damaged by solvents, and urethane resin parts, whose surfaces are resistant to dissolution.
Caution:
If you paint Acrysion Base Color over a water-based primer, cracks may appear on the surface after drying.
This can occur especially if you apply Acrysion Base Color thickly when the water-based primer has not yet dried sufficiently.
If you use Acrysion Base Color, we recommend allowing the base coat to dry sufficiently and not applying it thickly all at once.
Caution: Acrysion and Acrysion-related paints and finishing materials, such as Acrysion solvent and Acrysion tool cleaner, cannot be used for mixing, diluting, or cleaning with Aqueous Hobby Color, Mr. Color, or other water-based paints. Please be careful.
