[The Pioneer that Pioneered the Space Exploration Era]

The Space Shuttle, developed by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) in 1972 as a transportation system connecting Earth and space, made a total of 135 launches from its first launch, Columbia, in 1981, until its retirement in 2011.

It contributed to space development by carrying out various missions, including experiments in the onboard Spacelab (space laboratory), construction of the International Space Station (ISS) using the Multipurpose Resupply Module, and the deployment of space telescopes and satellites.

Five operational shuttles were produced; unfortunately, Columbia and Challenger were lost in accidents.

However, Atlantis launched the Venus probe Magellan in May 1989, and the Jupiter probe Galileo in October of the same year.

From 2000, it carried out assembly and resupply missions for the International Space Station. And with the successful completion of its final mission, it brought to a close the more than 30-year era of Space Shuttle space development.

● This is a 1/100 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Space Shuttle Atlantis.

● Length: 373 mm, Wingspan: 238 mm.

● You can choose to assemble it as it was during its final flight in July 2011 or during the Space Shuttle's first flight.

●The interior of the flight deck, main engines, and landing gear are precisely finished.

● The cargo bay hatch can be opened and closed. The reflector on the inside of the hatch is reproduced with plated parts.

● Includes markings for 6 different Space Shuttle aircraft, including the prototype Enterprise. Decals are also provided for the instrument panels of the early and final models, as well as the exterior panels of the final model.

● Includes 2 astronaut figures and a display stand.

"In-depth detail"

★ The docking system for the International Space Station and the manipulators have also been made into separate parts.

★ The cargo bay in the center of the fuselage can be equipped with either a detachable Spacelab (space laboratory) or a multi-purpose resupply module (Raphael).

★ The three nozzles on the main engine can be angled.

★ The rudder on the vertical stabilizer, which also functions as an air brake, is movable.
