Description

[The Tripod, the Key to the Heavy Machine Gun Team]

This realistic 1/16 scale plastic model assembly kit recreates a WWII German Wehrmacht soldier marching with an MG42 machine gun tripod.

The figure's head can be assembled with or without a helmet.

The folded tripod is made up of over 10 parts, adding a rich sense of dimension.

Equipment, including an early-model Walther holster, is also sharply finished.

Also included are decals for insignia and a display base that resembles the ground.

Combine this with the currently available Wehrmacht Infantry (Marching Style) to recreate a machine gun team on the march.

[Model Specifications - About the Machine Gun Team]

The heavy machine gun team was the core of German infantry firepower in WWII.

Comprised of five members, including the commander, machine gunner, loader, and ammunition hand, they provided accurate firing from the tripod.

[Model Specifications - About the Tripod]

The MG42, produced from 1942 as the German military's main machine gun, was fitted with a tripod for precision firing.

When equipped with an optical sight, it boasted a maximum range of over 3,000 m, and the barrel could be automatically depressed or elevated to fire a wide barrage of fire.

Weighing approximately 21 kg, it was lightweight enough for a single soldier to fold and carry.

[Model Specifications - About the Uniform]

The Model 1936 field uniform worn by German soldiers in the early stages of the war was characterized by elaborate details such as a green collar and rank insignia mounts.

Later, to improve productivity and camouflage, these details were changed to the same color as the uniform itself, and a version known as the Model 1940 field uniform was released.
