Description
This is a plastic model kit of the British Army's main battle tank, the Desert Challenger, which served as a key asset in the ground forces of the multinational coalition during the 1991 Gulf War, overwhelming Iraqi T-72 tanks with its powerful 120mm gun.
The kit faithfully reproduces the tank's appearance during the Gulf War deployment, featuring composite armor and reactive armor (explosive reactive armor) on the front and sides.
It can also be assembled as a NATO-standard version for deployment in Europe.
A nylon mesh is included for the turret basket.
Two figures are included: a commander wearing a scarf to protect against dust, as seen during the Gulf War, and a commander in winter-weather gear, representing the NATO version.
