The M1 Abrams main battle tank, the US Army's flagship tank, has continuously evolved to maintain its top-tier performance.
Among its various versions, the M1A2, an enhanced version of the M1A1HA with a 120 mm smoothbore gun and improved armor, incorporates the latest electronic systems such as a vehicle-to-vehicle communication system and an independent thermal imaging system for the commander.
This allows for advanced information exchange with friendly vehicles and command posts, significantly enhancing its combat command capabilities.
First deployed in 1992, it also participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
