[Model Specifications - About Military Uniforms]
During World War I, British infantrymen wore the P02 field uniform, adopted in 1902, and over that, they wore the functional P08 equipment.
These uniforms were characterized by their low-visibility khaki color, a stark contrast to the previous, more brightly colored uniforms.
Ordinary soldiers wore gaiters, while officers wore leather leggings.
Later in the war, the dish-shaped Mk. I helmet, designed to offer better protection from shrapnel from above, was issued.
The Lee-Enfield rifle, the main weapon, could also be equipped with a wire cutter or a grenade launcher.
