Description

[The high wall standing in the way, the power of this "monster" is conveyed]

In December 1939, the Soviet Army standardized the KV-1 as its next-generation main heavy tank, incorporating many modern features such as a diesel engine and torsion bar suspension.

The KV-2, a heavy tank designed for breaching positions, further enhanced the KV-1's offensive power.

Based on the KV-1, the main gun was replaced with a massive 152 mm howitzer.

To ensure interior space, the turret was given an extremely tall, boxy shape.

Delivery to the military began in July 1940, with over 200 vehicles completed.

The KV-2 fought against the German invasion in June 1941, plagued by problems such as breakdowns due to its excessive weight, but some vehicles managed to make full use of their sturdy defenses and the power of their 152 mm howitzer to fight alone.

They stood in the way of the rapidly advancing German forces and provided a vital fighting force until they were ready to launch a counterattack.
