The Steyr 1500A/01 is a large German military passenger car that began production in 1941, early in World War II.
Developed under the Shell program, which standardized military vehicle models and specifications to increase productivity, it was equipped with an air-cooled, eight-cylinder, 85 horsepower gasoline engine and superior all-wheel drive suspension, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 100 km/h on paved roads.
Used in a wide range of roles on every front, from the Western Front to Russia and North Africa, a total of 12,450 units were produced by 1944.
