Description
[A key transporter on all fronts]
Over 70,000 units were produced between 1937 and 1944, making the 3-ton 4x2 cargo truck the German military's signature transport vehicle during World War II.
A converted military version of a civilian truck introduced in 1935, it featured a simple rear-wheel drive chassis and a 68 horsepower gasoline engine.
It boasted excellent durability and off-road capability, and its large cargo bed provided ammunition and other transport capacity.
It supported the German military until the end of the war, transporting troops, ammunition, fuel, and other supplies on all fronts, from the Western Front to Russia and North Africa.
