The U.S. military's 2.5-ton truck was used on every front in World War II and remained the standard vehicle until the Korean War.
Over 800,000 were produced over the five years of the war, and various variations were introduced depending on the purpose, but the most widely produced was the cargo truck.
The representative model, the CCKW-353, had an empty weight of 4.8 tons, a 2.42-ton off-road load capacity, a 4-ton on-road load capacity, and a top speed of 72 km/h, demonstrating outstanding performance for its time.
