[Model Specifications]

Introducing a new display base!
The revised design improves stability with a lower center of gravity and increased contact area.
The Kantai NEXT Series is a plastic kit that makes building ship models easier while still achieving a realistic finish.
Each part is molded in a different color, eliminating the need for painting.
The snap-fit design eliminates the need for adhesive, making this series a cut above conventional kits.

The first of the Yamato-class battleships, the Yamato, was completed in December 1941 and represented the culmination of large-scale shipbuilding technology from the Kongō (金剛) class to the Nagato (長門型) class.
With a standard displacement of 64,000 tons and 46cm main guns, it was world-class in all respects, and was the much-anticipated flagship of the Combined Fleet, serving as the flagship for Admiral Yamamoto Isoroku (山本 五十六), Commander-in-Chief of the Combined Fleet, during the Battle of Midway.
As aircraft became the primary force in battle, Yamato underwent modifications such as the removal of some of its secondary guns and the addition of anti-aircraft weapons.
In October 1944, it participated in Operation Sho-Ichi-Go (捷一号作戦) in the Sea of Leyte.
In April 1945, it set out to destroy the US forces that had landed on Okinawa, but met its end with attacks from numerous US carrier-based aircraft.
[Hull and Bottom]
The hull is divided into left and right sections at the waterline.
It is molded in a special gray color that mimics the warship colors used at the Kure Naval Arsenal.
Many of the portholes are specially designed to appear blocked, with recessed carvings for the open ones and raised carvings for the closed ones, resulting in a sharply detailed reproduction.
The outboard electrical wiring attached to the side of the ship is faithfully reproduced, even down to the fastening points.
The bottom of the ship is made into a one-piece part using a slide mold, eliminating the need for seam processing.
The bulbous bow at the bow is realistically reproduced with three-dimensional molding.
The rudder is three-dimensional, with a square shape different from that of the third ship, Shinano (信濃).
The rudder surface is highly detailed, with even the seams in the steel plates being reproduced.
[Main Gun]
The main gun can be elevated and rotated. Achieves both a minimum number of parts and realistic molding.
The direction of the 46 cm main gun barrel is in an open position using a slide mold.
Dedicated parts are provided for both the main gun canopy and the machine gun turret to reproduce the additional machine gun turrets on the second and third main gun canopies.
The secondary gun is rotatable, and the barrel and turret are integrated into one piece.
[Bridge]
The bridge is constructed using a split and slide mold to minimize seams between parts, and the parts are integrated into one piece.
The No. 22 radar on both sides of the bridge is a special part that recreates its relocated appearance.
The 15-meter rangefinder and compass are designed to rotate.
Aft of the bridge, an additional troop waiting area and an expanded signal deck are included with special parts.
[Chimney/Mast]
The chimney is a left-right combination, and the steam exhaust pipe, whistle pipe, and monkey bars are all recreated as a single piece.
The top cap (lattice) is removed for a highly realistic design with a sense of depth.
The mast is a two-piece structure, and is designed to integrate the No. 13 radar that was installed at this time.
[Aircraft]
Two aircraft types are included with special dark green color parts.
One each of the A6M Zero (three-seat) (零式) floatplane and the A6M Zero (零式) observation aircraft.
The panel lines are recessed, and the propeller is integrated with the fuselage using a slide mold for precise expression.
○ Includes pre-cut stickers with excellent adhesion, making it easy to paint the fine details!
・Includes waterproof canvas for the main and secondary guns, a walkway behind the No. 3 main gun, the naval ensign, and the Hinomaru (日の丸) markings for aircraft carriers.
・Includes the Irrational Law Enforcement Heavenly Banner, the chrysanthemum water markings next to the chimney, and the flag of the last commander, Vice Admiral Ito Seiichi (伊藤 整一).
○ Includes a black pedestal designed with an inconspicuous linear theme for display after completion!
○ Includes adhesive bonus parts for users who desire a more detailed look.
Bonus parts include 78 machine gun ammunition boxes, a mast support, and an antenna support on the secondary gun canopy.
Box art by Yoshiyuki Takani (髙荷 義之) depicts the Yamato sailing at high speed in clear skies.
New display pedestals are now available!
Compared to the Year 1944/Operation Sho-Ichi-Go (捷一号作戦), this product features the addition of triple machine guns on both starboard and port sides and the removal of the aerial support from the stern.
It is modeled after the ship's final appearance during Operation Ten-Ichi-Go (天一号作戦) in April 1945.
Designed with a snap-fit system that requires no adhesive, this series sets itself apart from conventional kits.
It significantly lowers the bar for ship model building, allowing you to enjoy realistic builds with ease.
[Renewed display base!]
□ The revised shape and new design improve stability! The lower center of gravity and increased contact area ensure stability.
□ Molded in black, this kit consists of four parts.
□ The horizontal surfaces feature a smooth surface and a rough sculpture, and the reversible parts can be painted blue to resemble waves.
The Kan NEXT series is a plastic kit that makes ship model building easier while still achieving a realistic finish.
◆ Each part is molded in a different color, so no painting is required.
◆ Uses a split system that ensures parts do not fit together conspicuously.
◆ It is a snap kit that does not require glue.
◆ Includes stickers that recreate the color-coded fine details.
◆ By removing the part below the waterline, you can recreate the offshore model.
