Gaia Notes Gaia Color Premium Series:
The Gaia Color Premium Series is a special series that creates colors that have never been expressed before by obtaining precious raw materials.
If raw materials are limited, it may be possible to produce only the first batch.
These are exquisite colors that will help you expand your range of expression like never before.
Specification:
This is an improved version of GP-07 Premium Plated Silver.
It can easily produce a wonderful plated look.
It is recommended for airbrush painting, so it is diluted from the beginning.
If you apply a clear coat after painting, the luster may be lost.
Since it uses a strong solvent, applying a thick coat at once may damage the base.
How to Use:
Premium Mirror Chrome should be used as is, without thinning.
Airbrush application is recommended. Brush application may not produce the desired results.
Painting Tips:
Because it uses a somewhat strong solvent, the best results are achieved by polishing the plastic material itself with a compound or similar and then painting over it, rather than painting a black base coat.
It also has decent hiding power, so you can achieve a plated look without being affected by the molded color.
Paint Samples on different testing spoon: PREMIUM MIRROR CHROME
As a painting example, we painted various primers on plastic spoons and then painted mirror chrome on top of them. As you can see at a glance, the bare spoon without any primer treatment was painted the most beautifully. Since the finish is affected by the primer, if you want a matte finish, you can achieve a different look by spraying flat black or semi-gloss black first.

Clear Coat Paint Samples: PREMIUM MIRROR CHROME
From the left, Ex-Clear, Clear Yellow, and Clear Blue are applied over Mirror Chrome. (All are lacquer-based Gaia colors.) While the finish may appear slightly dull, it does not mean that a clear coat cannot be applied. Be sure to spray a test coat before painting. Ex-Clear may lose its gloss.
Paint Samples when using different painting equipment: PREMIUM MIRROR CHROME
The left is painted with an standard airbrush, and the right is painted with Gaia Notes Easy Painter EP-01. The stronger the pressure, the rougher the paint becomes, making it harder to control the paint film.
Premium Mirror Chrome is already thinned to be optimal for airbrush painting, but if you really need to thin it, use T-04 Tool Wash.
However, as this is a strong solvent, please do a test spray before painting.
