This plastic model assembly kit recreates the Ducati 888, the champion of the Superbike World Championship, which was crowned champion three years in a row from 1990.
It features a fresh truss-structured pipe frame not seen on Japanese-made racing bikes.
The L-twin engine, unique to Ducati, is recreated with exposed cocked belts and a dry clutch as separate parts, giving it a Spartan feel.
The slim form unique to the L-twin engine is also realistically recreated in the model.
The engine, cowling, etc. are attached with screws, allowing you to enjoy assembling it like a mechanic.
The tires are also recreated with slick racing tires made of solid rubber for a realistic feel.
