Description

[A popular specialty car that also won the Good Design Grand Prize]

In the late 1980s, the Nissan Silvia was equally popular as the Honda Prelude as a specialty car.

The fifth-generation Silvia (S13 type) was fully remodeled in May 1988, and with the catchphrase "Art Force Silvia," the stylish and beautiful body lines of a two-door coupe and the soft interior that envelops the occupants with its many curves captured the hearts of young people, winning not only the Good Design Grand Prize that year, but also the Japan Car of the Year award.

Of the three grades that evoke the image of playing cards, J's, Q's, and K's, the top grade K's is a high-performance type equipped with a 1800cc 4-cylinder twin-cam turbo engine that produces 175 horsepower.

It adopts a four-wheel independent suspension with front struts and rear multi-links, and the sporty driving performance of the rear-wheel drive also attracted attention.
