Description
[Choose from the P-51D, P-51K, and the photographic reconnaissance version, the F-6D]
The P-51D Mustang, renowned as one of the best fighter planes of the US Army Air Forces during World War II.
To address a shortage of Hamilton Standard propellers, which the P-51D originally used, the P-51K was equipped with Aero Products propellers.
Primarily deployed in the Asian theater, the P-51K, along with the P-51D, excelled in missions such as ground attack and long-range escort of bombers, leveraging its long range, high speed, and excellent maneuverability.
Some P-51s were also equipped with cameras for photographic reconnaissance; those based on the P-51D were designated as the F-6D.
