Description
[The Group 4 Race-Dominating Machine]
The Porsche Turbo RSR was a production-based racing car developed for international sports car races, starting in 1976.
Based on the Porsche 930 Turbo, this Group 4 machine was also known as the 934 Racing.
Only 31 units were produced.
Among them, the two Porsche 934s fielded by the Max Moritz team, sponsored by the German liqueur manufacturer "Jägermeister," were characterized by their vibrant orange livery.
During the 1976 season, they achieved a 1-2 finish at the first round of the DRM (German Sports Car Championship) at Nürburgring, and also competed in the 1000 km race at Nürburgring, round 4 of the World Manufacturers' Championship.
Car #24 performed admirably against the factory-backed Group 5 Porsche 935, securing 3rd place in its class.
Furthermore, its sister car, #25, achieved an excellent result, finishing 3rd overall and winning its class.
