Description

[Playing a part in the strongest legend]

The new World Endurance Championship began in 1982.

The Porsche 956 was developed as the Group C car that would play a key role in the race. The 956, which swept the race, later evolved into the 962C, which was supplied to many private teams, including works teams, and won many races, becoming known as the strongest machine.

One such car was the 962C of Brun Motorsport from Switzerland, which was active in the 1987 race.

Dressed in a vivid orange Jägermeister color scheme, it participated in the World Sports Prototype Championship (WSPC) and the German Racing Car Championship (DRM).

From 1987, three 962Cs were mainly entered into the race, and in the WSPC, it won second place in the championship, beating the Porsche works team.

As one of the leading privateers, it became a major force for the Porsche team, which continued to win victories for a long time until the mid-1990s.
