Description

Product Information Details:

Mr. Color is the standard for model paints, with over 40 years since its release.
It has been highly praised by modelers around the world.

Product Features:

- A wide range of colors are available, and it can be used to paint many types of models, including characters and scale models (tanks, airplanes, ships).
- A wide range of pigments and metallic particles can be used, and many of them have better color development than water-based paints. (Especially metallic and blue paints)
- Because it is a solvent-based paint, it dries quickly.
- The paint film is hard after drying, and a beautiful glossy surface can be obtained.
- The resin used has a meaty feel (thickness), and forms an optimal paint film.

Dilution and number of coats:

When painting with Mr. Color, it is necessary to dilute it appropriately with Mr. Color thinner. Mr. Color thinner can also be used to clean brushes and airbrushes used with Mr. Color.
- The paint has a higher viscosity than water-based paints. When applying with a brush, if it is difficult to apply, add Mr. Color thinner.

(Guideline: paint: thinner = approximately 1: maximum 1)

Also, adding a few drops of the dedicated Mr. Retarder Mild will slow down the drying speed and reduce uneven brush marks.

- When applying with an airbrush, dilute the paint to a ratio of 1 part paint to 2 parts thinner according to the viscosity of the paint. When using an airbrush, do not apply all at once, but only lightly paint the entire surface the first time, and then apply thin layers in two or three coats.

<How to adjust from gloss to semi-gloss/matte>

- For glossy Mr. Colors, the gloss level can be adjusted using C30 Flat Base. For a semi-gloss finish, mix in about 5-10% of the paint with Flat Base.

Also, mixing in about 10-20% of the paint with Flat Base will result in a matte finish. By adjusting the proportion of Flat Base, you can adjust the gloss level to various levels.

Caution:

- This paint contains organic solvents. Please ensure there is adequate ventilation during and after use.
- This product cannot be mixed with other model paints other than Mr. Color and Mr. Color GX.
