Description

[An unconventional Group 5 specification, promising success in racing]

The Lancia Stratos was a rally car developed by the Italian luxury car manufacturer, Lancia.

Featuring a compact body designed by Bertone, it utilized a 2.4-liter V6 engine from the Ferrari Dino, mounted mid-ship and driving the rear wheels.

Since its debut in the World Rally Championship in 1974, it achieved the remarkable feat of winning the championship three consecutive years, in 1975 and 1976.

Based on this Stratos, the Stratos Turbo was developed as a Group 5 race car for the World Manufacturers' Championship.

The turbocharged engine delivered a maximum output of approximately 520 horsepower. The body was extensively modified with large over-fenders, a chin spoiler, and a rear wing, resulting in significant weight reduction.

It was expected to excel on the race track.
